Title: A New role of Foxp3+ Regulatory T Cells in Glucocorticoid Therapy for Chronic Inflammation
Speaker: Booki Min, PhD / Cleveland Clinic Foundation
Host: Chyung-Ru Wang, PhD
Topic:
Glucocorticoids are the first-line treatment option in many chronic inflammatory conditions. Yet, its working mechanism remains poorly understood. Utilizing murine models of autoimmune and allergic inflammation, our study uncovered for the first time an indispensable role of Foxp3+ regulatory T cells during steroid-induced treatment. Molecular mechanisms during regulatory T cell-dependent glucocorticoid therapy will be discussed.
