Abbott Hall, Women's Center, 14th Floor, 710 N. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60611 map it

As we recognize Black History Month in February and prepare for Women’s History Month in March, it is a good time to enter into open dialogue about raising kind and just children in a difficult and inequitable world. Participants in the Social Justice Parenting seminar will learn and practice preferred methods for talking to kids about difficult topics, develop strategies for encouraging gender creativity and respect for diversity and discuss resources on television, in children’s books and locally to support your parenting efforts. Space is limited and registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided. Sponsored by Work/Life and the Women's Center.
