Last year, the Black Women Working Group hosted an event called “Recentering Our Experiences: An Evening For Black Womxn at NU”. The program was a huge success and many participants noted a desire to have more opportunities for fellowship and community amongst Black womxn at Northwestern. The committee is proud to share the beginning of a new series to meet that need. Every two weeks there will be a lunch time, brown bag session where Black womxn of every generation- undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty and staff gather to discuss topics related to the intersections of our racial and gender identities. This program is open to all those who identify as black womxn and other gender minorities of any age group. Bring your lunch and join us. We look forward to seeing you at our first event!
