Kidney function and accelerated brain aging
Objectives
Patients with kidney disease are at a higher risk for developing stroke and dementia. This presentation includes findings on the link between kidney function and brain neurovascular integrity at the population level. In addition, potential mechanisms and targets to preserve brain health in relation to kidney function will be discussed.
