Lisa Daniels lost her son, Darren Easterling, to gun violence in 2012, and in the end asked the judge to be lenient with the man who shot him. Lisa now sits on the Illinois Prisoner Review Board whose mission it is to grapple with the notion of mercy. Lisa Danieles will be in conversation with Alex Kotlowitz, Professor at the Medill School of Journalism.
