Workshop on Democracy Without Shortcuts (OUP 2019) by Cristina Lafont (Philosophy, Northwestern University)
The event will begin with a brief (ca 15 min) presentation by Prof. Cristina Lafont of key arguments in her book. This will be followed by three ca 20 min long comments on themes of the book by the speakers. The workshop will conclude with a 15 min “reply” by Prof Lafont to her commentators and 30 min of Q & A with the audience, who can interact with the author and the commentators, respectively.
