Presentation Title
Metabolic epidemiology of CVD risk in young adulthood: a 'blind spot' in prevention
Objectives
Assessment of CVD risk in young individuals is still poorly described. This presentation will demonstrate current knowledge in CVD risk prevention in young adults, with a focus on metabolism, and will present novel approaches to stratify risk and understand mechanism.
1. To understand current state of the art clinical methods to assess risk in young adults.
2. To understand novel methods and approaches for CV risk stratification in early adulthood.
3. To explore metabolic mechanisms of benefit with standard lifestyle interventions.
