INVOForward is a Northwestern mentorship program designed to accelerate biomedical commercialization. The focus of INVOForward Therapeutics 2021 is to guide teams through the preparation of an industry standard data package, which could be used for subsequent outreach and/or funding opportunities.
This 6-week virtual program (January 22 to February 26, 2021) will feature a series of speakers from OrbiMed, AbbVie, Third Rock Ventures and other organizations on key components of a data package (e.g. biological rationale, clinical significance, novelty and competition, etc.) and will provide each team an opportunity to compile data and develop their respective package.
Teams will work directly with an assigned Northwestern facilitator with drug development experience, who will provide ongoing feedback to help strengthen each aspect of their portfolio. The program will culminate in data package presentations to a panel of representatives from venture capital and pharmaceutical companies, including Eli Lilly, AbbVie, Deerfield Management, Atlas Ventures and Osage University Partners, enabling useful feedback and networking for the teams.
At the end of the program, teams will emerge with an improved understanding of how to create a compelling data package that can be used to strengthen their applications to various Northwestern accelerator opportunities as well as attract potential external partners or investors.
