Jesús Escobar is Associate Professor in the Department of Art History at Northwestern and a specialist in the architecture and urbanism of the transatlantic Spanish empire. His research focuses on cultural and political exchanges across the network of cities under the domain of the Spanish Habsburgs in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
