Garin Flowers (MSJ11)

Medill alumnus Garin Flowers is an Emmy-nominated and AP Award-winning journalist. He is an on-camera host and content creator working in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. 

Garin is also a journalism instructor for students across different platforms at The USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Previously, he worked for nearly eight years as a general assignment reporter for CBS, NBC and ABC affiliates throughout Florida. 

And, he was recently a contestant on ABC’s The Bachelorette. 

Roger Boye (MSJ71)

Roger began teaching classes in the Medill Cherubs program in the summer of 1971, which then led him to teaching assignments in the regular Medill programs. He has directed Medill Cherubs since 1985, the year he joined the full-time faculty. For nearly 20 years he served as assistant dean and director of undergraduate studies at Medill. He is now an emeritus faculty member and is serving as president of the Northwestern Emeriti Organization, made up of all of Northwestern’s emeriti faculty. He also, as it happens, shares his birthday with Medill—February 8.
