Inter-Organizational Collaboration Across Boundaries in the Advancement of Climate Solutions
Description:
The RE-AMP Network is a place where 130 organizations connect to build strategies for equitably eliminating greenhouse gas emissions in the Midwest. RE-AMP's Strategic Director, Gail Francis, will discuss what the network has learned in more than 15 years of living into their motto, "Think Systemically, Act Collaboratively." In particular, she will challenge the idea of "boundaries as barriers", and instead show how people and activities at the perimeter of collaborative activity actually enhance the longevity of all participants' engagement. She will also share reflections on the particular challenges and opportunities for collaborating across the academic/advocate divide.
