Join Multicultural Student Affairs for a discussion on the crisis of political unrest, mass protests, and opposition to the US-supported dictatorship of Jovenel Moïse in Haiti. We will be examining the role that the United States government has played in perpetuating neocolonialism and oppressive rule in Haiti, while comparing it to the history of US-backed dictatorships in the Philippines. How can we continue to foster global and cross-cultural solidarity? Join us as we raise awareness for the situation in Haiti and explore ways in which we can stand in solidarity with civilians and protestors in Haiti.
