Turkish Language Table

Students and faculty are invited to a very special Turkish Language Table.
In collaboration with Cornell University's Turkish Program, we will host Ayhan Hulagu, a Turkish artist and founder of Karagoz Theater Company, who will talk about traditional Turkish shadow theater, its characters, how he makes the puppets and also show an excerpt from one of his plays. Karagoz Shadow Theater is a UNESCO Intangible Heritage of Humanity and a traditional Ramadan entertainment, so we hope that students and faculty can join this special occasion. The event will be in English.
