Description:

In recent years, the hot topic has been “logistics”. It seems like every over-the-road and international carrier has a logistics arm. At the same time, many new companies have spring up – 3PLs, 4PLs, brokers and more. It is a game played with multiple services, solutions, talent and technology.   But the railroads have been active in logistics for a long time and continue to play an important and growing role.  The session will feature examples of how rails play in today’s  logistics game and have for a long time—from the Class I and short line rail perspectives.
