CIRCULAR ECONOMY OF POLYMERS

Recycling of polymers and plastics via mechanical, dissolution, and chemical processes

The Circular Economy of Polymers symposium focuses on innovative ways to recycle plastic materials. Scientists, engineers, and technologists interested in the latest developments and advances in this diverse field are highly encouraged to contribute oral and poster presentations. Selected presentations from the ACS Symposium on Circular Economy of Polymers in the Fall of 2020 become the ebook ACS Symposium Series 1391 (https://pubs.acs.org/isbn/9780841298163).

Key topics include, but are not limited to, the following recycling processes and materials:

 Dissolution
 Depolymerization, pyrolysis, and gasification
 Biochemical / enzymatic
 Purification processes of the product streams
 Feedstocks, including their composition and required purity levels
 Products, including their composition and suitability for “closing the loop”
 Techno-economic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA)

Abstract submissions close on Monday March 14, 2022:
