The Northwestern University Postdoctoral Association (NUPA) is announcing our Pitch Slam to be held on May 19th, 2022, from 3:30 pm and welcomes all postdocs to join us 
    
Join us for our annual Pitch Slam 2022- An Elevator Pitch Competition for Northwestern Postdocs.

This is a Hybrid event, and postdocs can participate either virtually or In-person at Lakeview Conference room, Rubloff 11-300, 420 E Superior St, Chicago. 

**Refreshments will be provided for In-person attendees** 

The average elevator ride is 118 seconds long. Do you have what it takes to sell your research in that time? Calling all postdocs – practice presenting your research in 2 minutes or less in NUPA’s first-ever Elevator Pitch Competition! We encourage all participants to be as creative and engaging as possible! 

Guidelines for the Pitch:    
1.     The content of your pitch should be the research you are currently working on. 
2.     The audience of the pitch will be postdocs, faculty, and administrators from different disciplines, so avoid technical jargon. A lay audience should be able to understand you. 
3.     Your time limit is 2-minutes; this will be strictly enforced. 
4.     Your pitch is meant to be comparable to speaking to someone in person, so no slides are allowed. 
 
A faculty panel will judge participants based on communication style, comprehension, and engagement. 

The top 3 participants will walk away with $150, $100, and $50, respectively. * Other participants will be entered into a raffle to win Starbucks gift cards! 

*Please note only Northwestern University postdocs are eligible to win cash prizes.
