Bienen faculty members Robert Morgan (assistant principal oboe for the Lyric Opera Orchestra and principal oboe for Music of the Baroque and the Chicago Philharmonic) and Stephen Alltop (music director of the Apollo Chorus and Green Lake Festival Orchestra) are joined by special guests for an evening of Baroque chamber music. Their program highlights music of two of the era’s master composers—Georg Philipp Telemann and George Frideric Handel—who admired each other’s music and maintained a half-century-long friendship.

Georg Friedrich Handel, “Mi palpita il Cor,” Cantata for Soprano, Oboe, and Continuo
Georg Friedrich Handel, Trio Sonata in F Major for Oboe, Bassoon, and Continuo
Georg Philipp Telemann, Quartet in D Minor from Tafelmusik II
