Screening of Develaciónes a Cuatro Vientos and Conversation with the Directors
Develaciones a cuatro vientos is a large-format play that brings together 102 artists, activists and victims of the Colombian armed conflict from different regions of the country. The montage that combines theater, music, dance, songs, and video art is a theatrical production commissioned by the Comisión de la verdad to disseminate their findings. Its directors, Bernardo Rey and Nube Sandoval, founded CENIT (Centro de Investigaciones Teatrales) in 1992 and since then they have developed a methodology called "Teatro como puente" (Theater as a bridge) with which they direct pedagogical-theatrical projects with vulnerable populations in Colombia and Italy. In this event, we will watch a screening of the play and have the opportunity to attend a conversation between the director and professor Melissa Blanco Borelli about the challenges, implications, and legacy of this powerful artistic project.
Reception to follow.
