Q Founder Series | Dividing Up the Pie: Equity Structures and Frameworks for Early-Stage Startups

The InQbation Lab's first seminar of the Q Founder Series will focus on common equity issues faced by early-stage startups. The presentation will cover the differences between shares, membership interests, incentive units, profit interests, and stock options. Additionally, a substantial portion of the presentation will cover strategies for resolving equity disputes and tips for determining the initial equity arrangements for a startup.

SPEAKER BIO

Adam Falkof is a partner at Quarles & Brady in Chicago and leads the firm’s startup practice. He has substantial experience with the Midwest’s startup community and has previously launched four of his own startups. Mr. Falkof represents a number leading early-stage startups and has close relationships with technology accelerators, angel investors, and venture capital funds nationwide. He also writes a monthly Midwest startups newsletter that features early stage Midwest startup companies and upcoming startup community events.
