Hailed for his “unfailingly beautiful” tone and “enviable technique” (Boston Globe), Moscow-born pianist Boris Berman has given performances on six continents, including solo appearances with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, London’s Philharmonia, the Toronto Symphony, the Israel Philharmonic, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and the Royal Scottish Orchestra. His chamber music collaborations have included such artists as Heinz Holliger, Ralph Kirshbaum, and the Tokyo and Vermeer Quartets. He has recorded all of the Scriabin piano sonatas, and his recital recording of Shostakovich works on the Ottavo label received the Edison Classic Award.
