As part of Northwestern's Fulbright Week activities, this panel presentation focuses on different ways and opportunities for Northwestern staff members to get involved with the US Fulbright program.

Previous awardees of the International Education Administrators Program (IEA) Catrina DeBord (Global Learning Office - Germany) and Greg Buchanan (Global Health Studies - India) will share their experience applying to and participating in the program, and the impact of this Fulbright experience on their personal and professional lives.

For those interested in staying closer to home, Office of Fellowships advisors and past staff volunteers will detail ways to support Northwestern students in their Fulbright application process.

This event is hosted by the Office of the Vice President for International Relations (VPIR) through its One World \ One Northwestern initiative.

A staff community-building reception will follow the presentations. Northwestern staff members from any university department are welcome!

About Fulbright: The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government. It is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. The Fulbright Program provides participants-chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential - with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns. Grants are available for U.S. citizens to go abroad and for non-U.S. citizens with no U.S. permanent residence to come to the U.S. The Fulbright Program is an important element of the United States' bilateral relationships with countries around the world. U.S. and foreign governments jointly set priorities for the exchanges.
