Description:

Is your Spring Quarter course ready for ChatGPT and other generative AI tools? Join us for an online “makerspace” experience to develop or modify your Spring Quarter assignments and class activities using generative AI tools. In this hands-on session, you will have opportunities to experiment with different AI tools that can generate text, images, music, and more in order to explore their creative possibilities for higher education.

We will draw from the wide array of pedagogical questions that are surfacing, using these as a framework to guide our conversation. How can generative AI tools help instructors in the development of learning experiences? How can generative AI tools be integrated into existing learning experiences? How might generative AI tools help raise our expectations for student learning? How can we invite students into the conversation about ethical usage of AI tools? Join us to test, design, and troubleshoot learning experiences just in time for Spring Quarter. We invite you to bring the seed of an idea to grow or an existing learning experience to play with at the Generative AI Learning & Teaching Lab.
