Description:

The FAST Center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is led by EnterpriseWorks and provides free resources, support, and expertise necessary to submit a highly competitive proposal to help startups and companies bridge the gap between research and commercialization. We have helped companies acquire millions of dollars in federal SBIR/STTR funding – at no cost whatsoever to them.

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION

This webinar will review the program rules and eligibility requirements, outline company expectations upon award, and cover critical elements for building a team. We will also cover key elements of a Phase I project, tips to start sketching out your project budget, and strategies for developing a successful plan for submission. Finally, this session will provide attendees with a brief overview of some useful free online tools and resources to help during the proposal preparation process.

SPEAKER

Our presenter will be Kris Parmelee of the Parmelee Consulting Group, Inc., and a member of the FAST Center of Illinois consultant team. Kris is a proud graduate of Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). She started her career at an Indianapolis-based nonprofit in program development and management. After gaining initial experience in fund raising, Kris launched her own venture in 2000 with a focus on private foundation and federal grants. In 2005, she expanded her experience to include SBIR/STTR and for the past five years, has focused almost exclusively on SBIR/STTR and project management services.

After the presentation, teams will have the opportunity to ask questions from the FAST team. This is a free, virtual event, but registration is required. The link to the webinar will be emailed to you upon completion of your registration. Recording Notice: By registering for this webinar, you acknowledge and agree that it will be recorded and shared online for public viewing.
