Dr. Chan is an Associate Professor in the Barbara Murphy Division of Nephrology and Charles Bronfman Institute of Personalized Medicine. She completed her medical school training at Drexel University College of Medicine. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and joined the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as a clinical/research fellow where she is currently faculty. She is a clinical investigator who has a research focus on big data and patient-centered outcomes. She has a K23 on identifying novel risk factors of adverse clinical outcomes in patients on hemodialysis using natural language processing.
