Northwestern University's Querrey InQbation Lab is featuring the Q Founder Series, focused on key topics that early-stage startups face.
This talk will cover the legal considerations that typically arise when a startup hires its first employees. Topics will include restricted stock grants, stock options, and frameworks for deciding the equity splits for the initial founding team. The talk will be presented by Adam Falkof, a Partner at Quarles & Brady LLP in Chicago, who leads Quarles’ national startup practices. He will be available immediately following the seminar to discuss relevant topics.

SPEAKER BIO
Adam Falkof is a partner at Quarles & Brady in Chicago and leads the firm’s startup practice. He has substantial experience with the Midwest’s startup community and has previously launched four of his own startups. Mr. Falkof represents a number early-stage startups and has close relationships with technology accelerators, angel investors, and venture capital funds nationwide. He also writes a monthly Midwest startups newsletter that features early-stage Midwest startup companies and upcoming startup community events.
