Northwestern University's Querrey InQbation Lab is featuring the Q Founder Series, focused on key topics that early-stage startups face.
The InQbation Lab's third seminar of the Q Founder Series will focus on issues related to building a startup team. The presentation will focus on key labor and employment legal issues for startups. Topics will include the hiring process and initial hiring paperwork, the legal differences between independent contractors and employees, legal requirements for interns, and typical employment challenges, such as terminations, common employment litigation, and the use of foreign employees and contractors.
Adam will be available to answer questions and lunch will be provided.

SPEAKER:
Adam Falkof is a partner at Quarles & Brady in Chicago and leads the firm’s startup practice. He has substantial experience with the Midwest’s startup community and has previously launched four of his own startups. Mr. Falkof represents a number early-stage startups and has close relationships with technology accelerators, angel investors, and venture capital funds nationwide. He also writes a monthly Midwest startups newsletter that features early-stage Midwest startup companies and upcoming startup community events.
