About the Speaker:
Dr. Christine Wood (they/she) is a research assistant professor in the department of medical social sciences and the institute for sexual and gender minority health at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Currently, she is on detail at the National Science Foundation serving as the senior advisor to the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. For the past decade, their research has focused primarily on barriers to inclusion in STEM fields. In her current position at NSF, she is working to advance equity for sexual and gender minorities in the federal and scientific workforces by focusing on the urgent need for data on the experiences of SGM people in STEM.
