Title: Engineering IL-2 for Control of Autoimmunity
Speaker: Daniel Campbell, PhD, Member and Director, Center for Fundamental Immunology, Benaroya Research Institute
Topic:
We have developed a novel IL-2 ‘mutein’ that is highly selective for Foxp3+ regulatory T cells, potently expands regulatory T cells in vivo, arrests ongoing autoimmunity and induces durable disease protection models of autoimmunity. This is a highly promising therapeutic approach to treatment of a host of human autoimmune diseases.
Host: Booki Min, Professor, Dept. of Micrbiology-Immunology
