Description:

This dynamic presentation will be focused on the intersection of graphic design and course creation. Participants will uncover the best ways to visually improve course content, and create beautiful materials learners will look forward to engaging with. Participants will not only come away with the theory, but hands-on practice to workshop their own curricular artifact.

About the Speaker:
Dawn Lee DiPeri is an Education Specialist - Content Lead at UNICEF Learning Passport and Vice President of East End Advertising, Graphic & Instructional Design. At Unicef Dawn leads the content department which helps 36 different countries create, curate, procure and adapt educational materials for kids, adolescents and teachers. Dawn also helps train on topics of online pedagogy and ed tech. Prior to working for UNICEF Dawn was a Learning designer and faculty developer at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Dawn taught online, hybrid and face to face at the college level teaching graphic design, new media and interpersonal communications. Dawn has co-owned a design firm since 2012 with clients ranging from education, non-profit, healthcare and workforce development. She is also the author of “Graphic Design for Course Creators, Digitally accessible, Visually Appealing Courses” published by Press Books with a CC-BY Creative Commons license. Dawn has earned her Doctor of Management in Higher Education, Teaching and Learning and her Master of Fine Arts in Advertising.
