Drs. Bridianne O’Dea (Associate Professor) and Taylor Braund (Postdoctoral Researcher) of the Black Dog Institute will give a talk that explores the design, testing, and implementation of various digital technologies for the identification and treatment of depression in the Australian context. They will delve into some of their newest mental health therapy apps (including ClearlyMe®, Sleep Ninja®), their recent digital phenotyping of depression studies (including keystroke dynamics and linguistic markers of mental illness) the first ever AI-enhanced adaptive trial for treating psychological distress, and their implementation models that embed digital therapies into Australian schools and primary care settings. They will share their very recent key findings and their plans to address our unanswered research questions. It will be of interest to researchers and clinicians with an interest in digital mental health as well as those interested in adolescent development, computer-human interaction, cognition and linguistics and therapeutic alliance.
