To celebrate the Year of the Dragon, One Book is co-hosting a student field trip to the Lunar New Year celebrations in Uptown on Argyle Street on Saturday Feb 17, 2024. Free one-day Ventra passes will be distributed for attendees to take the 'L' to Argyle Street prior to the event. More information on pick-up to come. For those who wish for guidance on the 'L,' the One Book student team will lead a group from the Foster Purple Line station to Argyle on the Red Line at 11am on the day of the event. You are also welcome to venture to Argyle on your own or with friends.

The field trip will culminate in watching the Lunar New Year Parade at 1:00pm at Argyle & Winthrop, featuring 20+ community groups, cultural institutions, dancers, and performers! In addition, a number of local organizations will hold pop-ups with family-friendly activities.

After the parade, One Book and NU Student Life invites you to a dimsum lunch at Furama in Argyle. Lunch is free and first-come, first-serve.
