The Third Coast Center for AIDS Research (TC CFAR) Clinical Sciences Core (CSC) will lead a workshop describing its electronic HIV datamarts containing comprehensive electronic health record data for research on individuals treated and tested for HIV at the University of Chicago Medicine or Northwestern Medicine. The CSC will also provide details about HIV population inclusions, data elements included in the datamarts, successful prior research projects, and how researchers access this important resource for their HIV research projects.
Learning Objectives
Understand the population inclusions and data elements in the CSC’s electronic HIV testing and treatment datamarts.
Study examples of prior successful research projects that have utilized combined HIV-related electronic health record data from University of Chicago and Northwestern.
Discuss future directions including comprehensive incorporation of social determinants of health information, and expansion of datamarts to include electronic health data from other TC CFAR partners.
Understand how to access data within the datamarts to support future HIV clinical and population health research.
