Title: Glueing groups using dynamics
Abstract:
What do you have in mind when you hear the term "the Gromov boundary" of a hyperbolic group?
Some would say "it's a compactification of the group"; some would argue it is a space on which the group acts in a certain way. In this work, we study the tension between these two perspectives.
Is there more than one way to "glue" a given G-space to the group? (Yes!)
We begin the classification of the various ways it can be done.
