Title: Restriction estimates using decoupling theorems and two-ends incidence inequalities
Abstract: Stein's Fourier restriction conjecture concerns the L^p behavior of functions whose Fourier transform is supported on a smooth hypersurface. In this talk, I will first survey the conjecture. Then, I will discuss a Kakeya-type incidence inequality that, with the help of decoupling theorems, would imply the full restriction conjecture.
