The RCTP-Q Science Communication Workshop Series is a collaborative partnership between The Querrey InQbation Lab (The Q) and the Research and Communication Training Program (RCTP) through The Graduate School.
The series is comprised of 3 workshops where selected participants will gain tactical guidance to enhance their communication skills and clearly articulate the impact of their research.
To apply to participate in the series, please complete the form linked below and provide a link to a 2-3 minute self-recorded video where you describe your research, and its potential future impact on society.
To be selected, you must be available to attend ALL THREE in-person workshops which will be held on Wed, January 15, Wed, January 22, and Wed, January 29 from 9:00-11:00 AM CT.
The self-recorded videos will be used during the first workshop.
Workshop 2: Crafting Compelling Narratives: Storytelling Techniques for Effective Communication
This session will focus on narrative technique and story structure. Frameworks and approaches toward storytelling will be introduced and participants will reformat their work into a narrative (or narratives) and do mini presentations to small groups.
