Virtual Speakers Bureau Highlight Event: Gender and the Holocaust
Tuesday, March 11, 12-1:30 PM (EST)
Online Only | Registration required
HEFNU’s Virtual Speakers Bureau features the work of researchers who study the Holocaust utilizing a variety of methods. In this highlight event, we bring together several scholars who utilize gender as a tool of analysis.
Marion Kaplan, New York University, “Jews and Gender in Nazi German”
Björn Krondorfer, Northern Arizona University, “The Holocaust and Masculinities”
Na’ama Shik, Yad Vashem, “Women in the Holocaust”
Helene Sinnreich, University of Tennessee Knoxville, “Gender and the Holocaust”
These distinguished Holocaust scholars will present an overview of their areas of expertise and examples of how they might present their research, methods, and findings to your students or community. There will be time for questions following their presentations.
This event is open to educators interested in utilizing our Virtual Speakers Bureau in their classrooms and scholars interested in gender as a tool of analysis in Holocaust Studies.
Please join us as they discuss how their work can benefit your students.
