Description:

On Wednesday February 26, from 4:45 to 7pm, please visit the Herskovits Library on the 5th floor of the University Library  for a reception celebrating student posters on Africans and People of African Descent. 
 
This exposition is a collaboration between the Melville J. Herskovits Library of African Studies, the Institute for the Study of Islamic Thought in Africa (ISITA), and the Council for Language Instruction (CLI) Outreach Committee. It features posters created by students of participating languages at Northwestern University: Arabic, French, Hebrew, Portuguese, Swahili, and Turkish. The purpose of this collaboration is to center student research that recognizes the contributions and accomplishments of Africans and People of African Descent globally. 
 
Refreshments provided by Herskovits and ISITA.
