The Future Founders 3-Minute Showcase is an exciting new program designed to equip research scientists with the skills to communicate the commercial potential of their research, or that of other technologies utilizing Northwestern IP.
Inspired by the globally recognized Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition, the program focuses on helping participants develop compelling, concise, and persuasive pitches that demonstrates the real-world impact of their research.
Over the course of the winter quarter, the seven selected participants took part in a series of hands-on workshops and personalized coaching sessions led by expert faculty from TGS' Research and Communication Training Program (RCTP).
On March 5, the program will culminate in the Spotlight Showcase, where participants will present their refined pitches to a live audience and judges comprised of Northwestern’s Women’s Board members. The top three presenters will receive executive coaching, professional headshots, and a modest cash prize.
