Please join us on Friday, April 25th, at 6pm in Harris 108, for a reading performance dedicated to the Italian Resistance movement on the 80th anniversary of Italy’s Liberation from Nazi-fascism.
Through a reading of selected stories — translated into English by students of Italian at Northwestern University in collaboration with students of the Università La Sapienza in Rome — we will rediscover stories and testimonies of the events that shaped the Italian Resistance across the peninsula from 1943 to 1945.
The readings will be performed by students of the Department of French and Italian at Northwestern University, together with actress Claire Hart Proepper.
The event is organized by the Department of French and Italian, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Chicago.
