Mission statement: The Earth system and the environments in which we live are rapidly changing, as are the ways that humans are interfacing with these spaces in both reactive and proactive ways. We seek to highlight cutting edge, fundamental research in aspects of Climate, Water, Natural Resources, and Decarbonization to inform, inspire, and energize members of the Northwestern community on these pillars. This symposium will feature presentations from both Northwestern faculty (from DEEPS and elsewhere) and invited guests, as well as ample time for discussion and networking. We aim to provide a venue
to holistically explore these topics, bring communities together, and identify new opportunities for engagement and partnerships. The aims of this symposium are in line with university priorities in decarbonization, sustainability, among others.
