Title: Frobenius and Vershibung on K-theory of endomorphisms
Abstract: Witt vectors are highly structured objects that crucially show up in many different fields. Yet their structure can feel mysterious and opaque. The structure of Witt vectors for commutative rings can be naturally understood in linear algebra terms via K-theory of endomorphisms. In this talk we explain this process and extend this structure to generalized K-theory of endomorphisms for not necessarily commutative rings.
