Please join the Latin American & Caribbean Studies Program and the Andean Cultures & Histories working group as we welcome Valeria Coronel to share her work in progress. 

Valeria Coronel Valencia (FLACSO-Quito) is the Edith Kreeger Wolf Distinguished Visiting Professor at Northwestern in Winter and Spring 2025, hosted by Andean Cultures and Histories and Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Professor Coronel Valencia’s principal areas of research are Latin American state histories and societies as well as indigenous political engagement and actors, with a focus on the Andean area.
