October is Filipino American History Month!
Come hear Emil De Guzman discuss his new book, Red Sky: Recollections of the International Hotel, which details the fight to save San Francisco's International Hotel during the height of the Asian American Movement.
First as a student activist, then as I-Hotel Tenant Association member and distinguished community leader, De Guzman shares his recollections of the protests against the International Hotel evictions in San Francisco's Manilatown from 1968-1977 and its rebuilding 36 years later.
Light refreshments provided!
