Weekly Theory Group Meetings are informal discussions of theoretical astrophysicists at CIERA. Discussions usually center around blackboard talks given by graduate students and postdocs at Northwestern, but can include prepared talks given by visiting researchers as well.
Whatever slides or material the speaker brings in, the discussion often dives deep into the details of the fundamental astrophysical theory. While the topic typically involves theory, observational astrophysicists are welcome to join and participate.
