Learn where and how to store and organize research data at Northwestern to support your project from planning to publishing.
Deciding where to store your research data and how to organize it is often an afterthought during the research process. This approach results in frustration and wasted time later when it comes time to publish your work. This session is the first in a two-part series covering good practices for storing your research data.
We will cover the basics of where to store your data at Northwestern, leveraging the different storage solutions (RDSS, Quest, SharePoint, Cloud) as well as general organization strategies to support your entire research process, from the planning stages through data collection, processing, analysis, and ultimately publishing.
Prerequisite: None.
