Title: Effective Equidistribution via Dynamical Zeta Functions
Abstract: We prove effective equidistribution theorems for (weighted) packets of closed periodic orbits for Anosov flows. In particular, for the case of geodesic flows for surfaces of negative curvature, we show that the Bowen packets equidistribute in exponential rate. This is accomplished by studying the analytic extensions of the two-variable zeta functions introduced by William Parry, together with techniques from analytic number theory.
