Trauma Prevention and Recovery: Israel’s Experience with War-Related PTSD

Visiting professor Yair Bar-Haim, an internationally recognized expert in anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress, developmental psychopathology, and cognitive and affective neuroscience, will discuss Israel’s extensive experience in understanding, preventing, and treating trauma related to war.

Drawing on decades of research and clinical innovation, Bar-Haim will highlight emerging approaches to PTSD prevention and treatment grounded in cognitive neuroscience. The presentation will also explore how Israeli methodologies are being adapted to support the U.S. military and veteran population.
