Join us for a special screening of the 2023 documentary film, Bad Press, and for a Q&A with one of the Co-Directors and the main protagonist! Food will be provided.
Bad Press, with a runtime of 98 minutes, follows a defiant Muscogee journalist, Angel Ellis, as she takes a stand to expose government corruption after the Muscogee Nation suddenly begins censoring its free press. This historic fight between local journalists and the tribal government has ramifications for all of Indian Country.
The film has garnered 16 major festival awards and a nomination for the Critic's Choice Award for Best Feature Film.
