The Scholars Exchange | January 2026
Advancing Cardiovascular Health from People to Places to Populations
Heart health is shaped not only in clinical settings, but also within communities and across populations.
In this session, Nilay Shah, MD, MPH—Assistant Professor of Cardiology, Preventive Medicine, and Medical Social Sciences; preventive cardiologist in the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute at Northwestern; and Gilbert S. Omenn Fellow at the National Academy of Medicine—will share his research group’s approach to advancing cardiovascular health across individuals, neighborhoods, and populations through community partnerships, policy evaluation, and evidence-based interventions.
Admission is complimentary, but advance registration is required as space is limited.
