This concert celebrates the rich and varied voices that define American music. The first half features iconic works by Charles Ives, William Grant Still, and Aaron Copland—each capturing a distinct facet of American life, history, and ideals. The second half shifts to contemporary perspectives with Shuying Li’s meditative In This Breath and Clarice Assad’s dynamic Sin Fronteras, affirming the power of music to transcend boundaries, embrace diverse identities, and reflect the human experience in all its beautiful complexity.
